Day 5 of TFIOS filming: Yerba mate tea, Wyck's bracelet, Dr.Seuss and more

It is now known that Shailene is a big fan of organic foods and tea. Today she shared her tea with John and maybe made him a lover of yerba mate tea.

Ben Richardson also shared a picture on his Instagram of Pittsburgh's sunrise

John and Shailene (and 8-year-old) bond over Dr. Seuss

Video was filmed by Laura Dern, who plays Hazel's mom, Frannie.

John and 8-year-old Instagram Video girl continue bonding and record a nice (and funny) video of John doing jumping jacks and reading.

Also today marks the end of the first week of filming and screenwriter Michael shared this picture in honor of that milestone.

TFIOS cast and crew bond at Pittsburgh bowling alley

Just before cameras start rolling on Monday, the cast and crew of The Fault In Our Stars movie had a nice bonding date at a bowling alley in Pittsburgh.

It's day 2 of rehearsals on the TFIOS set and Wyck Godfrey and Ben Richardson shared images of the slate with us.

Screenwriter Scott Neustadter just posted a picture of the TFIOS script with the caption:

Shailene cuts her hair for Hazel Grace and donates it

It all started with a teasing picture from Director Josh Boone:

All of Shailene's hair will go to Children With Hair Loss, a non-profit organization that provides wigs to children with medically-related hair loss. Many nerdfighters have already donated to CWHL and posted pictures on Twitter and Tumblr under the hashtag #HairForHazel and #ItGrowsBack. What an amazing cause. We can't wait to see a clear picture of "Hazel Grace's" hair.

TFIOS producer talks TFIOS at Comic Con. He says he is heading to Pittsburgh "next week" (note: interview took place last weekend).

The Fault In Our Stars to be released in 2015?

Earlier today the Pittsburgh Film Office, the non-profit organization that helps filmmakers film in Pittsburgh and Southwestern Pennsylvania, confirmed to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that TFIOS filming will start on August 26.

The article also stated that TFIOS is the first movie to be filmed in Pittsburgh this year and will keep the film industry in Southwest Pennsylvania thriving.

However, according to the article, the release date for TFIOS is slated for the year 2015. Is it true? Well Wyck Godfrey, producer of TFIOS, has hinted before that they are hoping for a 2014 release date.

An exact release date is difficult to pinpoint, especially before filming has even started. Rumors will fly, but until we have confirmation, all we know is that TFIOS fans are ready to see the film whenever it opens.
